Charlotte has been at Tag Digital for just over 2 years, she has progressed into her role as Paid Social Team Lead. See what Charlotte has to say about her career journey at Tag Digital so far…
What did you do before working at Tag Digital?
I graduated from Strathclyde University where I studied Marketing. I then did a year of traveling around the world before getting a job as a Marketing Executive at another Glasgow marketing agency.
What attracted you to working at Tag Digital?
I was working in-house doing Digital Marketing, I was excited and keen to get into fast-paced agency work and was given an amazing opportunity to specialise in Social Media – which is my passion.
The agency I worked at previously worked across paid and organic marketing, I was also really keen to specialise in paid social.
I also knew Jess from back home and had heard nothing but good things about Tag Digital.
The success of the company and the fun environment and culture that comes with it made me really excited too.
How long have you worked at Tag Digital?
My two year tag-iversary was in March 2024!
What is your role at Tag Digital? How has this changed over the years?
I am a Paid Social Team Lead at Tag Digital. I started off as a Paid Social Executive and got promoted to Paid Social Manager then Senior Paid Social Manager, all thanks to the help from the team around me…
What does your role as Paid Social Team Lead entail?
On top of managing campaigns across the social channels – Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest – I lead a team of managers and executives supporting them on day-to-day tasks and achieving their goals, helping them to progress.
I also head the monthly innovation hub for the paid social team which brings us all together to share and discuss new platform innovations and features.
What do you enjoy most about working at Tag Digital?
Taking part in all the fun activities that go on in the office and events – like making TikToks, Tag Lab, Ping Pong tournaments, Tough Mudder, the list goes on!
And the people I work with of course!
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I love how everyday is different, getting to test and run campaigns across all the new and exciting platforms and seeing results from your work.
What is the best thing you have learned since working at Tag Digital?
My knowledge and confidence across all platforms and in the workplace generally has grown massively.
Learning and staying on top of new platform innovations and keeping up to date on the latest trends.
I am now mentoring others as they begin their journey at Tag, and getting to present to others my work, knowledge and findings.
What is a standout moment in your career so far?
I have a few stand out moments – firstly, getting to talk to Port Glasgow High School at their careers week was really good fun, giving them inspiration as they begin their career journey.
Last year I went to Manila with Ashley, our Head of Paid Media, to visit our team out there and run team building and training sessions. I have been working with them since they started and went through the onboarding process so it was lovely to meet them in person!
Also, presenting a year in review to one of our biggest clients at their offices in London was a great experience, and attending regular in-person training days with our clients.
Leading the innovation hub for the social team, we are exploring new and upcoming innovations across the social platforms and it is great to work with the team to trial new features.
