Keep reading to see what Adam has to say about his career journey so far…
What did you do before working at Tag Digital?
I previously worked in another agency as a PPC Manager, where my role was more focussed on e-commerce clients, with some lead generation campaigns too.
What attracted you to working at Tag Digital?
Having a connection within the company offered me insight into the work culture at Tag, the team structure and support on offer to team members, which was really appealing to me.
I’ve worked in a few agency set ups and Tag certainly appeared to have the right set up for me to grow and develop as a marketer in my role and through extensive opportunities for learning and development.
How long have you worked at Tag Digital?
Around a year and a half! I joined in Feb 2023!
What is your role at Tag Digital? How have you progressed since you started?
I am currently a Senior Paid Media Manager, having taken on this role in April 2024. I joined the company as a Paid Media Manager, managing to secure a promotion just over a year after starting.
In addition to this, I have also had the opportunity to lead several AI innovation projects in the team, which has lead to speaker opportunities both in Glasgow & London on the subject.
What does your role as Senior Paid Media Manager entail?
I manage the setup, optimisation and reporting of paid media campaigns on channels like Google Ads, Bing, & Programmatic.
In addition I help deliver AI innovation projects and processes to support the technical team’s work and bring greater efficiencies into our daily tasks.
This role also includes regular client calls, supporting more junior team members, and leading our internal Google Team innovation meeting called Kreative Kitchen.
What do you enjoy most about working at Tag Digital?
The company has created an environment that does not cause fear of failure or perfectionism.
The team are supported and given the tools and opportunities to do their jobs to the best of their ability, and where mistakes happen, there is always support and encouragement.
There is a real sense of togetherness within the Google team as well where we meet regularly and can support each other with ideas and recommendations for each other’s campaigns.
Finally there is a fantastic social environment at Tag where everyone in the company gets involved in any fun activities organised by team members and whenever a big celebration like the annual Christmas party comes along, it always delivers!
What is the best thing you have learned since working at Tag Digital?
If there is an area of your work you find a passion for, it’s important that you find opportunities to make time for yourself to learn, develop, and work on that area.
If you have an ideal of what you want your job to look like, you can make that happen if you stay committed to the course.
What are your standout moments in your career so far?
There have been a lot of high points at Tag.
I was fortunate enough to win three *unofficial Tag Awards at the Christmas party last year in my first year working here.
And I also recently had the opportunity to present at two small conferences in London in July which was an amazing learning experience in public speaking.
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
I really enjoy the freedom to find opportunities for growth and development in areas I am interested in like AI; finding ways to incorporate that into our standard workflow with paid media campaigns.
This includes learning how to build and launch custom GPTs and workflows for the wider team.
